'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently halfway through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial major achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
